Dance & Theatre

Onyi’s movement practice is rooted in Afro-diasporic traditions, which she has explored through workshops and studies with dancers and choreographers such as Kati Hernandez, Muñeco Aguilar, Rachel Hernandez, Kara Mack, and Ana Laidley. She brings layered emotion and presence to the stage, especially through community-based theater. Since 2013, she has been an integral part of the production PALMARES, including its award-winning run at the 2023 Hollywood Fringe Festival, where she contributed as cast, crew, and production team member. Guided by intuition and spirit, Onyi’s movement and performance channel archetypal and elemental energies that speak to the soul and stir deep resonance in audiences.
