About the event
A group experience to call in, ground, and embody individual joy; and to support the elevation of joy across the globe.
Utilizing the sonic vibration of the album FORIBALE, and a mixed modality approach that includes additional sound, laying of hands, ritual work, body awareness/somatic practices and movement, Onyi will hold space for attendees to shift perspective about, release, or integrate what is necessary in order to remember and hold hands with their joy.
Whether you are just beginning your healing journey, in a stage of ongoing exploration, or have reached a plateau, you are invited to join us to be supported (within community) as you continue on the path to becoming more of who you are.
All spiritual practices, religious backgrounds and perspectives are welcome.
About FORIBALE
Meaning to touch one’s head to the ground--the Earth--as an act of greeting, acknowledgment, and reverence in the Yorùbá language, this work is an invitation to consider the act of honoring ourselves, each other, and our planet as a remedy for the current non-preferred experiences of humanity. Each song is rich with symbolism and references to the elements/forces of nature and their correlated energies/deities (i.e., Òrìṣà / Orisha / Orixa / Oricha) within the Yorùbá ancestral traditions, wisdom, and technology.
About the facilitator
